Charging Battery

  • Upon connecting to power, the device displays the message “Charging Battery” for 2 seconds.
  • This indicator is dismissed automatically.
  • Upon disconnecting from power, no indicator is shown on the display.

Do Not Unplug

  • This alert is displayed while your Basis Band’s firmware is being upgraded.
  • When you see this alert, it is important that you allow the upgrade to complete fully before un-cradling your Basis band.
  • This warning is dismissed when the firmware upgrade is complete.

Low Battery

  • If the battery is getting low, the display will show this alert every hour.
  • Pressing any of the touch buttons will dismiss this warning.
  • If you see this alert, it is recommended to charge your Basis Band as soon as possible to prevent the battery from depleting.

Low Memory

  • If your device is running low on memory, the display will show this warning every hour.
  • This typically happens when it has been a number of days since you last synced your Basis Band. (The Basis Band can hold approximately 7 days of worth of data if worn 24/7, however this can vary.)
  • Pressing any of the touch buttons will dismiss this warning.
  • If you see this warning, it is strongly recommended to sync your Basis Band to prevent the device from running out of memory. As your data upload will be relatively large, we recommend syncing via the USB cradle in this case rather than wirelessly, as larger uploads might take up to 10 minutes to process when synced to your mobile phone.
  • Should your Basis Band run out of memory, it will stop recording until it is next synced and will display the “Not Recording” alert (see below).

Not Recording

  • This alert is shown if the device runs out of memory or loses its timestamp. It is shown every hour until the device is next synced.
  • Pressing any of the touch buttons will dismiss this warning.
  • Syncing your device is recommended to free up your device memory and set the time.
  • As your data upload will be relatively large, we recommend syncing via the USB cradle in this case rather than wirelessly, as larger uploads might take up to 10 minutes to process when synced to your mobile phone.
  • Occasionally this message can appear due to a firmware error. If syncing the band does not solve the issue, you can first try a hard reset and as a last resort, you can restore your band.
