What does my activity level mean?

Your activity level on your Basis Dashboard shows how often and long you engaged in physical activity for the day. We define this to be any sort of sustained physical activity that lasts more than 10 minutes. For example, a run/walk, vacuuming the house and going to the gym are all considered 'activity'. Getting up to use the restroom, while working at your desk or driving would not count as an activity.

We base the 10 minute threshold on the American Heart Association’s guidelines that suggest each bout of physical activity should be at least 10 minutes. Source: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17762377

It has been proven that the health benefits of more physical activity increases as you exercise more, so it's great if you meet your weekly goal but even better if you surpass it!
